Welcome to Danville, Virginia’s premier gourmet bed & breakfast, offering the best in fine lodging. Our Inn is decorated in a Victorian style with period antiques, luxury linens, fireplaces, and an historic ambience. We are a romantic getaway with corporate practicality.
The II Georges Inn was a 3-1/2 year labor of love by Jake and Connie Eckman who have restored this 1885 solid brick Queen Anne Victorian home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, back to it’s original grandeur. It is situated off of Danville’s Millionaire’s Row in the heart of one of Danville’s fine historic districts.
The name comes from Jake and Connie’s father’s names, George Carmen Eckman and George David Williams. Jake and Connie started calling it The Two Georges Inn when it was just a logodream of theirs, seven years ago, to open a gourmet bed and breakfast. The name naturally stuck and so we now have “The II Georges Inn”.
Each morning a full continental breakfast is served. The menu changes daily but always includes waffles, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, cereals, pastries, danishes, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurts, juices, coffee and teas.
So, whether you are celebrating a special occasion, taking in the sites and sounds of Danville, VA, or just looking for some rest and relaxation, savor these moments at The II Georges Inn.
Make your reservation today for pampered luxury!
The II Georges Inn no longer servers dinners on the weekends due to the opening of “Jake’s on Main” at 215 Main Street in the downtown area of Danville.
We thank everyone for their patronage and look forward to seeing you at “Jake’s”.
“Jake’s” is an upscale casual restaurant featuring freshly prepared appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, sandwiches and desserts. Jake’s has a large bar area (built by Jake) and features a diversified wine menu, upwards of 70 microbrews, high end single malt scotches, gins and vodkas.
